LEADERSHIP TEAM

Jill has been with our firm since 1996 and is currently the CEO. During her time at the firm she has been mostly involved in planning, conducting and overseeing the audit practice. Her audit experience includes MSHDA, including LIHTC Cost Certifications, Rural Development, HUD, construction and hotel/restaurant entities. Jill graduated from Central Michigan University in 1992. She currently serves as President for the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for Isabella Bank. She has also served on the Business Advisory Committee for the GI-Tech Center. In 2001, she completed the Leadership Institute program through the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. And in 2016, Jill completed the HCCP (Housing Credit Certified Professional) designation.

Bart has been with our firm since 2017. He received his Accounting degree from Alma College in 2010. Bart’s expertise are in auditing, compliance, and internal control services, as well as tax planning and preparation. Bart is active in the community as a member of the Finance Committee for the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation, GI-Tech Center Accounting Business Advisory Board, and the Chamber of Commerce Board.

Paul has been with our firm since 2002. He received his Business Administration degree from Central Michigan University in 2002. Paul has experience with a broad range of clients including extensive audit and tax experience in MSHDA, hotel/restaurant, and commercial real estate. In 2009, he completed the Leadership Institute Program through Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. Paul is also an active member of the Jaycees Club of Mt. Pleasant. In 2016, Paul completed the HCCP (Housing Credit Certified Professional) designation.

Jon has been with our firm since 2015 and has been working in public accounting since 2011 upon receiving his Business Administration degree from Central Michigan University. Jon’s areas of focus include business and individual tax preparation, tax projections, strategic planning, financial statement preparation, consulting and buy/sell transaction structuring. He is an active member in the community and graduated from the Rollie Denison Leadership program through the Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce in 2017.

Leah has been with our firm since 2008. She received her Master of Accountancy in 2006 from Michigan State University. Leah has experience with tax preparation, audits, and payroll for a variety of clients in small business and non-profit, as well as oil and gas. She is a board member of United Way of Gratiot and Isabella County. Leah is also a member of the Women’s Initiative Committee with the Mt. Pleasant Community Foundation, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Leah also graduated from the Rollie Denison Leadership program through the Chamber of Commerce.

Nathan Haines, CPA

PRINCIPAL

Nathan has been with our firm since 2012. He received his Business Administration degree from Central Michigan University in 2011. Nate has experience with a broad range of clients including audit and tax preparation related to MSHDA, including LIHTC Cost Certifications, Federal and State Historic Tax Credits, hotel/restaurant, and commercial real estate. Nate is a member of the Mt. Pleasant Young Professionals Network. He graduated from both the Rollie Denison Leadership program and Capstone Leadership program through the Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce.

Glen Blystone, CPA

PARTNER

Glen received his Business Administration degree from Michigan State University in 1973 and completed postgraduate accounting work also from Michigan State in 1976. He immediately started work in public accounting and then in 1986, created with friend Tom, Blystone & Bailey, CPAs, PC. Glen has served as Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Isabella County Board of Commissioners and is currently an advisory board member for Mid-Michigan Community College. He also serves as a board member at Mercantile Bank and is past Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Thomas Bailey, CPA

Tom attended Ferris State University and received his Business Administration degree in 1972. He then started work in public accounting and in 1986 he created with friend Glen, Blystone & Bailey, CPAs, PC. Tom has over 40 years of experience in public accounting experience.  He is a board member of the Universalist Fellowship in Midland and is and active member of the Midland Chamber of Commerce.
