Administrative Assistant / Accounting Associate
Position Description
The administrative assistant/accounting associate will work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. The position will consist of a wide array of support functions relevant to a CPA firm including office management tasks and data entry for bookkeeping and tax return projects.
Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent)

Prior experience in similar position
-
Associates degree in accounting is a plus

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Basic understanding of accounting and tax terminology

High-quality attention to detail

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Ability to operate multi-phone line system

Dependable transportation for running errands
Duties and Responsibilities

Bookkeeping data entry
-
Maintain electronic and paper supporting documents

Assistance with tax returns
-
Data entry
-
Copy and Assemble
-
Electronic filing of tax returns

Interaction with clientele

Maintain office calendar and coordinate conferences and meetings

Set up for meetings

Receiving payments from clients (in person, electronically and via phone); includes processing credit cards and preparing deposits

Errand running for office

Light cleaning/maintenance

Processing of incoming and outgoing mail
